The range of “furnace” applications is vast.  In general it can be said that air pollution issues potentially arise in three areas; charging the furnace, operation of the furnace (melting or heating the product), and finally emptying or pouring the product. Depending on how heat is applied to the furnace the melting/heating fume extraction system may need to deal with products of combustion from the fuel as well as fumes arising from the product being heated or melted. AAF has extensive experience and expertise in the application of air pollution control techniques related to furnace operations. The AAF FabriPulse XLC, FabriPulse Fusion, FabriPak II, and OptiFlo RS have all been successfully applied to Furnace applications. Occasionally wet scrubbing is appropriate to a furnace application and AAF can offer the self-contained RotoClone type N or the versatile and compact RotoClone type W.
