Many manufactured goods require final or partial assembly from component items or sub-assemblies. While it is not necessarily creating air borne contamination during the assembly process the work should always be undertaken in a clean environment with a filtered air supply. In the case of electronic assembly the work may need to be completed in a formally designated clean room environment. AAF can provide all the components for a clean room or the complete clean room itself. Assembly may also involve gluing, soldering or spot welding. In these cases local extraction will be required. The most common pollutant during vehicle assembly will be weld fume from the robot spot welders. This work is usually concentrated in a specific area within its own enclosure. Extraction will be via modern high efficiency cartridge filter units. The AAF OptiFlo RC is ideal.
