Rolling to the right dust collector

Petanque is a form of lawn bowling, and the object of the game is to toss, or roll, a hollow steel ball as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a Jack, while standing inside a circle with both feet on the ground. The game is typically played on hard dirt or gravel, and played in parks and dedicated facilities called boulodromes.

A piece of steel bar is made into a disk and forged into a half-shell. A petanque boule is made when two half-shells are assembled and welded together, and then inspected and checked before being marked, tempered, polished, and chromium-plated.

A commercial manufacturer that produces petanque balls, made with two half-shells welded, ribbed, and chromed, came to AAF® to replace their old equipment. They had several RotoClone® N units, but wanted the same equipment in Stainless Steel with additional wash nozzles. AAF® supplied a RotoClone® N 8B in Stainless Steel, painted, with one wash nozzle.

Challenge

A commercial manufacturer that produces petanque balls, made with two half-shells welded, ribbed, and chromed, came to AAF® to replace their old equipment. They had several RotoClone® N units,
but wanted the same equipment in Stainless Steel with additional wash nozzles.

Solution

AAF® supplied a RotoClone® N 8B in Stainless Steel, painted, with one wash nozzle. This unit was chosen for many reasons, with the main one being that it combines high efficiency, low maintenance costs, simplicity, flexibility, and
low water usage to maximize performance.

Benefits

The RotoClone® N was reported by the customer to work well. The unit uses relatively low water usage to maximize performance. Additionally, it is capable of handling hot, moist gas streams with no moving parts while ensuring no downtime. The customer requested an additional nozzle for the other side of the filter, which AAF® provided.
