The term flue gas refers to the exhaust gas flowing from a combustion process. This could be from a number of sources including;-

 ● Coal fired boiler or electricity generating plant.

 ● Oil fired boiler or electricity generating plant.

 ● Commercial waste incinerator or thermal oxidiser.

 ● Process exhaust – e.g. coke oven exhaust.

The exhaust can contain any number of contaminants ranging from simple ash particulates, to acid gasses, and even dioxins or heavy metal fume. The downstream air pollution control system must be designed to match the pollutants present, the flue gas conditions, and of course meet the applicable environmental protection requirements. Where a large bag filter is to be employed the AAF FabriPulse XLC is a good choice because of its on- line maintenance facility.
