AAF International Announces Agreement with
Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation
LOUISVILLE, KY --- FEBRUARY 1997 --- AAF International, the world's largest manufacturer of air filtration products and systems, has announced a two-year, sole-source agreement with Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation, the nation's largest provider of healthcare services. The agreement covers replacement air filters for HVAC systems serving administrative offices, clinical and patient care areas, laboratories, and surgical theaters in Columbia's healthcare facilities. Pricing for the agreement was effective January 1, 1997.
AAF International is a global leader in improving indoor air quality, with extensive experience in air filtration for healthcare facilities. AAF, formerly American Air Filter, has headquarters in Louisville, KY, and maintains operations in 18 countries around the world. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AAF-McQuay, Inc. of Baltimore, MD, and has recently completed its 75th year in business.
Columbia is the nation's largest provider of healthcare services with facilities in 37 states, England and Switzerland. Columbia's networks include 343 hospitals, 147 surgery centers, more than 550 home health locations and a nationwide pharmacy benefit management company. The company is building comprehensive networks of healthcare services, including home health, rehabilitation and skilled nursing units, in local markets around the country.

LOUISVILLE, KY --- JANUARY 1997 --- AAF International, the world's largest manufacturer of air filtration products and systems, has announced a sole source agreement with Premier, Inc., the nation's largest healthcare alliance enterprise. The agreement covers replacement air filters for HVAC systems serving administrative offices, clinical and patient care areas, laboratories, and surgical theaters in the healthcare facilities of Premier's owners and affiliates. Pricing for the five-year agreement was effective January 1, 1997.

Premier maintains major offices in Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL: San Diego, CA; and Washington, DC. Premier serves its 250 owners, the 700 hospitals and healthcare facilities they operate, and approximately 1,100 other affiliated hospital and healthcare organizations. The agreement will support owners' and affiliates' efforts to provide the highest level of indoor air quality, while controlling costs associated with operating their healthcare facilities. Group purchasing of supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment is carried out through the affiliated Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P.
