Inlet Silencers and Ducts

To connect inlet filter houses to gas turbines and compressors, inlet ducts are required. Quite often, these systems include the ductwork, inlet silencers, “last chance” screens, and a gas turbine inlet expansion joint. In addition, it is possible to include any required structural steel and air heating piping.
AAF has a broad range of engineering resources to design inlet ducts. Our staff includes experienced mechanical, structural, and acoustical designers capable of meeting complex site layouts and strict sound attenuation requirements. A variety of engineering services such as structural and stress analyses, three dimensional modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies, finite element analysis (FEA), vibration surveys, and on site acoustical testing are available from AAF.
