Mar 20-22 , 2016
Palm Springs, California

The Western Turbine Users conference is the world’s largest aero derivative users group supporting power generators.  It allows users to network with membership-based experienced personnel.

The upcoming 2016 conference will be held in Palm Springs, California at the Palm Springs Convention Center and Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel from March 20 – 23, 2016.  Nestled at the base of the majestic San Jacinto Mountains and blessed with gorgeous weather, Palm Springs has always been a great venue for WTUI conference attendees.  The village atmosphere mingles with the city’s renowned “modernism” style.  The streets, lined with palm trees, invite you to explore boutique shops, art galleries and museums while soaking up the sunshine or dining outdoors among stunning desert scenery.  The dependable warm and sunny climate enhances the regional flavor, making it the ideal location for the WTUI conference.  From the early days when many Cahilla tribes first settled and built their homes from palm fronds, to its current more metropolitan posture, Palm Springs remains the desert jewel of the world . . . “a beautiful oasis”!

The Conference is open to all “Active Members” of WTUI.
  • An “Active Membership” is determined annually and approved by the WTUI Board of Directors.
  • “Active Membership” is available to persons who are directly engaged in the full-time operation or maintenance of power plants; General Electric Marine & Industrial Division of General Electric Corporation; original equipment manufacturers (OEM) who assemble gas turbine packages; suppliers and vendors who supply support services or materials to the ongoing operations or maintenance of power plants; consultants and vendors who supply engineering services in support of the operation or maintenance of power plants; and, primary component vendors whose equipment is utilized in the assembly of gas turbine packages.
  • Each conference registrant must have a 2016 membership (either as an Active User Member or an Active OEM/Associate Member) before you can proceed to register for the upcoming 2016 WTUI Conference.  Membership is automatically issued at the time of conference registration.

The conference program consists of technical breakout sessions for the GE LM2500, LM5000, LM6000, and LMS100 lines of engines.  Technical presentations are made by industry experts on various environmental, operations and maintenance issues surrounding operations of gas turbine fired power plants.  In addition to the Conference program, a golf tournament, tennis tournament, spouse tour, and our Monday Night Reception event are offered.  Information on these events can be found on the registration website.

Please extend this invitation to your fellow colleagues. All GE aeroderivative users are invited.
