The AAF OptiFlo cartridge collector is the solution to your in-plant air quality problems. The OptiFlo provides high air cleaning on the most difficult dry dust collection applications. It is simple to install and maintain as well as being the most cost effective way to clean plant air. The OptiFlo is a self cleaning dust collector and is fully automatic.

- Pharmaceutical (Pill Coating, Packing)
- Weld Fume
- Laser Cutting
- Metallizing(Arc, Plasma and Flame Spray)
- Paint Powder and Pigment
- Metal Grinding
- Ambient Air Cleaning (Motor and Electric Room Ventilation)
- Woodworking
- Grit and Sandblasting
- Cereals, Candy, Flour, Food Mixes, and Starches
- Cement, Concrete, Pottery, and Rock Dust
Efficiency The OptiFlo has been certified by an independent test laboratory to provide the highest levels of cartridge cleaning efficiency (99.999% efficient on 0.8 micron particulate). Tests were performed in accordance with RP-531 and details are available on request.
Ease of Maintenance The OptiFlo filter cartridges, are replaced from outside of the collector. Since it is not necessary to enter the collector to change the filter cartridges maintenance personnel have limited exposure to dust. Cartridges are easily removed and installed by hand, no special tools are required.
Rugged Construction The OptiFlo is constructed using 12 gauge steel and is true industrial quality. It is structurally reinforced to resist pressures up to -20 inches water column (0.72 psi) and is rated for seismic zone 4. NEMA 4 Controls are standard and heavy duty 1 inch pulse valves are use to clean the cartridges with 90 to 100 psig compressed air.
How the OptiFlo Works Dust laden air enters through the top inlets of the OptiFlo and the dust collects on the outer surfaces of the filter cartridges. Filtered air flows out of the filter cartridges into the clean air plenum and is discharged through the outlet. The cartridges are cleaned periodically by a burst of compressed air which is released through valves from a storage reservoir into the clean side of the filter cartridges. This dislodges the captured dust from the surface of the filter. The dust then falls freely into the hopper below for easy removal. The cleaning sequence is controlled by a solid state control and actuated by either a timer of pressure switch control.
