Nuclear Air Cleaning Carbon Adsorbers

   Carbon adsorbers are used to filter and contain hazardous particulates and gaseous contaminants.The AAF carbon tray is a high efficiency removable, refillable, carbon adsorber cell used to adsorb radioactive iodine from atmospheric air in a nuclear power plant. The AAF adsorbent carbon is granular, activated coconut shell base charcoal, impregnated with KI and I2, TEDA, or a combination of both. Other adsorbents are also available for use in nuclear air cleaning.
