DynaPure Mist Collector

The AAF Dynapure is a unique, self-contained
filtration system for source capture of mist generated by wet machining, spraying, and
lubrication systems. Recent improvements in the Dynapure provide increased flexibility and
lower maintenance than competitive designs.

Features

  • Backward inclined aluminum fan - provides steep fan curve for optimum performance at minimum noise levels.
  • One piece fan/drum assembly - simplifies liner replacement.
  • Prefilter and final filter options - ideal for difficult combinations of mist and submicron smoke. Can be factory-installed or retrofitted in the field.
  • Standard off-the-shelf motors - explosion-proof models available plus optional voltages, including 50 Hz.

Advantages

Cleaning Efficiency - the Dynapure system captures mist down to submicron particle size. Filtered air may then be recirculated to the work area, eliminating the need for makeup air, reducing heating and cooling costs.

Compact Size - the largest Dynapure is only 27-5/16"L x 20-1/8"W x 23-3/8"H and weighs 145 lbs.

Installation Simplified - the Dynapure collector can be easily installed on or adjacent to the machine generating the mist. The units simplicity and compactness makes "do-it-yourself" installation feasible for most customers.

Quiet Operation - all models conform to OSHA noise standards.

Ease of Maintenance - in the majority of cases, servicing of Dynapure units is confined to periodically changing the throwaway filter liner and cleaning the impeller.

Typical Applications

  • Metal Working - screw machines, bar machines, chuckers, gear hobs, grinders, cold forming machines, EDM machines, lathes, and punch presses
  • Food Processing - vegetable oil sprayers, bun extruders
  • Original Equipment - compressors, vacuum pumps, turbine drives, mist lubricators, and transfer systems.

How the Dynapure Works

Mist laden air is drawn into the Dynapure where a rotating drum collects and agglomerates the mist particles - even submicron particles - in its filtering element. Centrifugal force then drives these particles from the air stream.

The collected mist is drained from the Dynapure and may be returned directly to the machine or collected for disposal. Clean air is returned to the plant atmosphere through the built-in stack discharge.
