Product Overview

AAF can design and supply both stationary and moveable hoods depending on the process and site condition.

Canopy Hood

Canopy Hoods are used to capture and extract fumes above the furnace, especially during the charging and tapping stages. Canopy hood extraction is also called secondary extraction. Normally, the canopy hood is connected to the main fume de-dusting system by uncooled ducts.

AAF can design and supply both stationary and moveable hoods, depending on the process and site condition.

Lateral Hood

The fume capture method also plays a crucial role. AAF can size not only stationary hoods situated above the furnace but also lateral exhaust systems if necessary. AAF also furnishes mobile or movable hoods which provide minimum interference with the process operation. These hoods are available in steel plate or water-cooled configurations.
