Demister Coalescing Pad
Mist Eliminator
The M-81 Demister-Coalescing Pad is a heavy-duty, high efficiency mist eliminator pad that can be used in several different configurations to meet the specific needs of any application. Because the M-81 Pad operates at a low pressure drop and is easily replaceable, it is economical to use in engine and compressor applications. The unique construction of the M-81 D/C Pad provides excellent free moisture removal at velocities up to 850 FPM.
 Water Resistant Media
The M-81 Demister-Coalescing Pad media is made from a two inch thick blanket of continuous filament fiberglass. A specially formulated water resistant binder is applied during the glass spinning process that allows the media to maintain its shape and resiliency while saturated with water.
Progressive Density Increases Moisture Holding Capacity
M-81 media is designed with "Progressive Density" construction. Fibers on the air entering side are interlaced in an open pattern which becomes progressively tighter. This construction prevents faceloading, and increases the amount of water each pad can hold.
Application
M-81 D/C Pads should be used in engine and compressor intake packages that require the elimination of mist/free moisture from the environment. They are typically used on offshore platforms, sea coast areas, behind air washers, and at plant sites that have long periods of heavy rain and/or frequent heavy fog and mist.
