Summary

AstroCel I HEPA and ULPA filters are used primarily in “cleanrooms” and “clean benches,” areas which require the very highest levels of contamination control. The filter consists of water-proofed, fire-retardant fiberglass media formed into a series of pleats. Corrugated sheets of aluminum separate the pleats to permit maximum usage at minimum resistance. Gasketing is available on the upstream, downstream or both faces.

Optional antimicrobial traps and concentrates particulate air contaminants to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) while preserving the integrity of the media

AstroCel I filters are available to meet all performance classes per the Institute of Environmental Sciences & Technology IEST RP-1 including:

Type A: Minimum efficiency of 99.97% on 0.3 μm at rated flow.

Type B: Minimum efficiency of 99.97% on 0.3 μm at 100% and 20% of rated flow.

Type C: Minimum efficiency of 99.99% on 0.3 μm and scan tested.

Type D: Minimum efficiency of 99.999% on 0.3 μm and scan tested.

Type E: Constructed and tested in accordance with ASME AG-1, Section FC.

Type F: Minimum efficiency of 99.999% on 0.1 to 0.2 μm and scan tested.

AstroCel I filters are available in a variety of construction materials and cel side configurations to fit AAF and competitive framing systems or sealing designs. Please refer to the product brochure or contact your local AAF sales representative for more information.
