Protection against the intake of moisture is required for air filtration systems because filters do not perform as designed when wet.  For environments with low humidity levels, a rain hood or snow hood provides the necessary moisture protection.  In higher humidity environments such as offshore oil platforms, coastal sites, rainforest locations, and areas subject to fogging, protection in the form of AAF’s AmerVane VI weather louvers and/or our AmerKool M81 coaleser pads provide the high water removal necessary to for dry air to advance onto the filters.
