AAF Announces Partnership with ENERGY STAR

July 9, 2008

AAF International, manufacturer of American Air Filter® and AAF® products, and a world-leader in providing clean air solutions, is proud to announce it is now an ENERGY STAR Partner.

AAF’s partnership with ENERGY STAR exemplifies its goal to protect the environment in every aspect of its business: product design, development, materials usage, manufacturing, and product usage and disposal. "As a member of the Daikin Group, our corporate mission is to create and provide products and services that contribute to the conservation of the global environment by capitalizing on our vast experience and capabilities," said Brian Thompson, Vice President of Global Marketing, in his announcement to the AAF International Marketing and Sales Teams. "In recognition of this goal, we are delighted to partner with ENERGY STAR and look forward to playing our part in fully supporting its mission."

For more than 85 years, American Air Filter has led the air filtration industry in protecting the environment and providing cutting edge solutions to help manage air pollution issues. "In more recent years, as greater attention has focused on global warming and the effects of Green House Gases (GHG) to our climate, we have continued the legacy in accelerating the development of air filter products designed and constructed with energy savings, reduced ownership costs, and superior performance in mind," said Thompson. Being a responsible corporate citizen is important; that’s why AAF products provide safe, healthy, and productive environments with a minimal carbon footprint. AAF is proud to be associated with an organization that understands and supports improved energy performance.

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. ENERGY STAR works with more than 12,000 public and private sector organizations to improve the energy and financial performance of their business, manufacture products to meet ENERGY STAR specifications, sell ENERGY STAR labeled products to meet consumer demand for more environmentally friendly choices on store shelves, promote ENERGY STAR qualified products or homes as a utility or state funds administrator, build ENERGY STAR qualified homes that save homeowners 30% on their energy bills every year and offer better comfort and health, increased quality, and a return on investment.

AAF International, which is based in Louisville, Kentucky, has more than 2,600 employees and 31 manufacturing facilities worldwide, while doing business in approximately 260 countries and territories.
